Andy Pickett

Andy Pickett

Andy Pickett’s music is easy to love, smooth like sunshine and wrapped in cozy layers. A self-taught piano player from Fort Worth, the artist just released his second LP Andy Pickett with White Denim‘s frontman James Petralli and bassist Steve Terebecky. The talented trio played on and produced Pickett‘s self-titled release in in Austin, working with four different drummers including Fort Worth‘s Jordan Richardson (of Oil Boom and Son of Stan). With lush design and voluptuous bass, Pickett‘s new album belies the fact that he‘s only been writing music for half a decade, since he was 41. His sound is blanketed with a hazy throwback vibe, a warm nostalgia that massages the soul and makes you feel like everything will be alright.
